If you’re anything like me, you’ll have a variety of VSTs and plugins on your studio computer.
One of the issues that I’m constantly faced with is finding a specific effect while working on a project. Also, over the years some plugins have been replaced, and some have come bundled with packages that I don’t use, which appear in the lists and generally slow my working process down.
Cubase offers some level of organisation automatically, but there are additional features in the plugin manager that may be worth exploring.
It’s not a new feature in Cubase, but I thought that I would share this video to help you find a way of organising your folders to suit your workflow.
As I spend a lot of time collaborating with others and mixing a lot of music in-house, I have invested in a wide range of effects. Having high-quality sound effects is a necessity when composing for film and TV.
In a previous blog, I’ve shared just the sound effects that I regularly use, and, I have extensively covered the sample libraries that I use, and also the Cubase Pro 10 template.
